Juuko returns as Desabre names XI to face Senegal

Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre has named the staring team to face Senegal in their round of 16 clash on Friday night.

Murushid Juuko who has been struggling with fitness in the last week, returns to start at the heart of defeance.

The Simba SC defender has missed the last two games with illness but is now fit to partner Hassan Wasswa at center back.

Bevis Mugabi also returns at right back after sitting out the 0-2 loss to Egypt last Sunday. On the left, Godfrey Walusimbi retains his spot as does captain Denis Onyango in goal.

The midfield pairing of Khalid Aucho and Mike Azira, which has started every game so far, is maintained with Farouk Miya in front of them.

The same attack that started in the 2-0 opening victory over DR Congo returns. Patrick Kaddu will lead the line while Emmanuel Okwi and Abdul Lumala offer width.
