Tanzania vs Algeria

Al Salaam Stadium, Cairo

Monday, 01-06-2019 @10pm

Algeria set to finish group C with a perfect record when they face off with Tanzania in Cairo.

The Foxes are in great form in the competition and are yet to concede at this year’s showpiece whereas Tanzania have lost both their opening two games. They lost to Kenya 3-2 despite taking the lead twice in their previous game.

Tanzania have lost 9 of their previous last 14 games in all competitions while Algeria have won 6 of their last matches.

Algeria have never lost to Tanzania, winning two and drawn three in the five meetings between the two sides.

Algeria recorded their second victory in the group against one of the tournament favourites Senegal, thanks to a Youcef Belaili second half strike.

The Algerians need a point to officially seal top spot of the group whereas the Taifa Stars cannot make it to the next level of the event.

They will look up to the energetic attack that consists of Riyad Mahrez, Sofiane Feghouli and Baghdad Boudjenah.

Tanzania will have their hopes in Simon Msuva and Mbwana Samata for their first victory in the showpiece.

The other games on Monday

-Namibia vs Ivory Coast @8pm

-South Africa vs Morocco @8pm

-Kenya vs Senegal @10pm
