Tunisia and Mali will lock horns on Friday evening for their second Group E game of the Africa Cup of Nations at Suez Stadium.
Tunisia are 2004 champions whereas Mali’s best achievement in the event was finishing as runners up to Congo during the 1972 edition.
Tunisia played out to a disappointing result in their opener as they were held by Angola 1-1 whereas Mali dispatched Mauritania 4-1 in their previous contest.
Both sides have previously faced off 8 times with the North African side winning 5 and Mali 3.
Tunisia are unconquerable in their previous four games, won three and only drawing once.
The Eagles of Carthage are making their 19th appearance in the competition and are ranked 25th in the world, while the Eagles are 62nd currently and this is their 10th time in the event.
Alain Giresse coached side will look up to Youssef Msakni, Wahbi Khazri, Anice Badri and Yassine Khenissi for maximum points.
The Malians will bank on Abdoulay Diaby, Moussa Marega and Adama Traore for positive results.
Victory for Mohamed Magassouba’s side will see them join Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria to the next round of the competition whereas the Tunisians will be in danger in case they fail to get positive results.
