ABU DHABI – The Uganda Cranes camp in Abu Dhabi is hitting full gear by the day.

As of Thursday, there are only two players missing from the list that was summoned by head coach Sebastien Desabre, almost two weeks ago.

With Nicholas Wadada and Emmanuel Okwi arriving on Tuesday night, the number rose to 24.

A day later, Swedish based defender Ronald Mukiibi and goal keeper Robert Odongokara also arrived to further rise the tally to 26.

This means that there are only two players yet to report. These are Mike Azira and another goalie, Charles Lukwago.

Lukwago was with the Cranes team that lost back to back games in the 2019 COSAFA Cup and is expected to report anytime soon following Abdallah Mubiru’s side’s elimination from the tournament.

For Azira, he is still with his Montreal Impact Major League Soccer (MLS) side whose season started a few months ago.

However, he is expected to be released in time for the Camp and until AFCON ends.

Sebastien Desabre and his technical team will name the final 23 man squad, 10 days before the kickoff of the final tournament.

Desabre and his technical team will name the final team 10 days before AFCON.
