DAR ES SALAAM – Juma Balinya has completed a move from Police FC to Tanzanian giants Yanga Africans SC.

He is also understood to have inked a two year deal at the 27 time-record Tanzanian Premier League champions.

He was unveiled by the club on Saturday afternoon.

”I am Balinya Juma from Uganda. I’m glad to be here in Tanzania. It’s an honor to play for Yanga Sports Club. Said Balinya at his unveiling.

Balinya has been poised for a big break after putting up an outstanding performance in the 2018/19 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season.

The midfielder-turn forward finished the season as top scorer, scoring 19 goals for Police FC.

He was part of the Uganda Cranes team that participated in the 2019 COSAFA Cup in South Africa.

KCCA FC and Wakiso Giants have been linked to the striker in the past weeks but he has decided to move to Tanzania.

He has previously played for Vipers, A.S Port in Djibouti, the now defunct Lweza FC before joining Police two years ago.

Balinya will now join Emmanuel Okwi, Diego Hamis Kiiza, Joseph Owino and Steven Bengo as some of the Ugandans to have featured for Yanga Africans.
