LUBIRI – Five games were played on the last Match-Day of the Futsal Super League on Tuesday evening.

Inaugural winners Dream ensured they capped a disappointing title defence with victory as they saw off Nomad 2-1.

It was as hard as they game for Dream as they trailed at the break to an Osman Abdul strike.

They would however respond with two second half goals to seal victory.

A strike each from Swaib Kazibwa and Jamal Muyingo did the trick for Dream, ensuring they end the season third with 47 points.

For Nomad, they were average throughout the season and a 7th placed finish in the end, tells the whole story.

The game between Kabowa United and Yap Stars produced the most goals on the day (10).

Yap came into the game having won only three games games but were rampant in the first period, taking a 4-0 lead at halftime.

Kabowa rallied and tried to mount a come back, scoring three second half goals but it was as much as they conceded at the other end, to lose 3-7.

Alfati Bogere and Ronald Kimbugwe helped themselves to a hattrick each while Bridge Oworinawe scored the other goal.

For Kabowa, Keneth Kigozi *2 and Mahad Mugerwa were on target for them.

The result means Yap Stars finish bottom of the 14 man log with 12 points, three adrift of Kabowa.

The fixture between Park and Elephants did not take place as neither side showed up.

For Parakeets, they were given a BYE as Tayphoon failed to honour their fixture.

This means that Parakeets got two goals and three points, to add onto their already accumulated total.

The last game of the day saw Bajim power past Crown 3-2.

Jimmy Ziwa ensured Bajim head into half time leading 1-0, scoring the only goal of the opening period.

Joseph Njuki and Titus Ssematimba added a goal each in the second half while Isma Sematimba and Abdul Abukar struck the two consolation goals for Crown.

Victory sees Bajim end season in 5th, one point a head of crown (6th).

The Futsal 2018/19 season will climax on Thursday with two games to be played on the day.

Yeak Kabowa will take on Mengo City in their crowning game of the season. Yeak sealed the title with two games to spare and still have 53 points, 7 ahead of second placed park.

The other game will be between Dream and Crown in the Cup final.

Yeak’s Shaffic Avemah still tops the scoring charts with 43 goals, six ahead of teammate Enock Ssebagala.
