Benin and Guinea Bissau played out to a goalless draw on Saturday evening at the Africa Cup of Nations to leave qualification to the knockout phase in Group F wide open.

Benin came into the contest after shocking four time winners Ghana in their group opener. They failed to convert the few chances created.

In the 37th minute, Jordan Adeoti sent Mounie who only forced Guinea Bissau custodian Jonas Mendes into a save.

In the 66th minute, Mounie was again unlucky when he headed over from a Stephane Sessegnon’s perfect free kick.

Benin withdrew Mickael Pote for David Djigla, Ssessi D’almeida for Mama Seibou and Cebio Soukou for Jodel Dossou.

Guinea introduced on Joao Jaquite for Pele Judilson Mamadu Tuncara, Romario Balde for Piqueti, Jorginho for Mama Balde.

Nanu Eulanio Angelo Chipela ( Guinea Bissau) and Cebio Soukou ( Benin) were the only players cautioned

In the other game of the group, Cameroon and Ghana also played out to a similar result.
