KAMPALA – The StarTimes Challenger is the new sensation in town as several people look to take part in the competition.
It is a challenge that requires one to negotiate through different obstacle and reach the finish-line in the shortest period of time.
The auditions for the StarTimes Challenger entered into their second day on Thursday, at Arirang Restaurant in Nakaseero, where over 200 people showed up.
On the same day, Uganda’s Kick-boxing darling Moses Golola was unveiled as the competition’s official host.
At a function witnessed by several Journalists, the vocal fighter was on hand to urge the general public to utilize the chance and register for the first of its kind, competition, in Uganda.
“I am honured to be the official host of a very rare competition in the world, said Golola.
“The StarTimes Challenger is the first of its kind in Uganda.
“We have watched the Ninja Warrior on TV and many wanted to one day be part of it and luckily, StarTimes and Hisense have brought it to everyone’s door step.
“It is a chance to win money and prizes but at the same time, have fun as you negotiate the obstacles in place.
“I would like to urge everyone out there to download the StarTimes APP, register and then take part in a competition that will surely push you all to the limit.
At the same venue, StarTimes-Uganda head of Marketing Isma Lule expressed welcomed Golola to the competition.
“I would like to welcome Golola (Moses) as our official host for the StarTimes Challenger. Said Lule.
“He is a reputable kick-boxer who trains to the limits and his presence can surely motivate the competitors.
“We have successfully overseen our our second day of auditions and everything is so far going to plan.
In the competition each competitor is expected to overcome various physical obstacles in the form of stepping stones, rope climbing, balancing bridge, bowling, sack racing among others.
The winners of each group stage will automatically qualify for the finals.
The competition will feature both sexes with the Males competing amongst their peers as the Female also do likewise.
Registration for the competition will be done via the StarTimesON APP.
The Medicals are slated for June 3rd and 4th.
There will be training on June 5th and 6th while the official filming starts five days later on June 11th.
