Vitality Netball International Series

England 65-53 Uganda

Copper Box Arena, London-UK

Friday, 30-11-2018

LONDON – The Uganda National Netball team, the She Cranes lost their three-match Series to Engalnd Roses after a second successive loss on Friday night.

Having lost the first game 50-46, the She Cranes knew that a loss in game  two would see them lose the Series but could only look on as England defeated them 65-53 at the Copper Box Arena.

Uganda had trailed 39-22 half-time, thanks to impressive displays by Roses’ duo of Helen Housby and Rachel Dunn.

They rallied in the third and fourth quarters as Roses head coach Tracey Neville rotated her squad, but the match ended in defeat with George Fisher scoring the final points.

This series victory is the first time that the Roses have played on home soil since earning a Commonwealth gold medal.

For both nations, the series is preparation for the 2019 Netball World Cup in Liverpool.

The third game of the series is on Sunday at 5pm Ugandan time at the Copper Box Arena.
