LUGOGO – Proline extended their unbeaten start to 2018/19 FUFA Big League season with a 2-1 victory over Water FC on Thursday afternoon.
In the game played at Lugogo, Hakim Kiwanuka opened the scoring on 20 minutes, tapping into the net from close range to put the hosts ahead.
Water nearly levelled matter instantly but Ismael Kabugo’s effort came off the cross-bar before Proline cleared their lines.
At the stroke of half-time, Bright Anukani doubled Proline’s lead off an Arnold Sserunjogi assist to ensure the host go into half time holding a healthy two goal caution.
Eight minutes into second half, Isaac Katende pulled one back for the visitors to halve the deficit and set the tone for a nervy ending.
Despite decent chances for either side in the last 30 minutes, neither would add onto their day’s tally hence propelling Proline to a 2-1 victory.
