-Paidah Black Angels 0-3 Bright Stars

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League continued on Saturday with three games.

At Wankulukuku, Express FC were subjected to a first loss in seven games when they lost 2-0 at home to Onduparaka.

The loss was also their first at home since losing 2-1 to KCCA FC at the back end of last season.

In Saturday’s game, Faizul Ibrahim’s booking was the only notable event of the first 45 minutes as both side went into the break locked at 0-0.

The second half was however one to forget for the Red Eagles who could only look on as Onduparaka continued their magnificent run against them (Express).

First, Ezra bid made it 1-0 to the Catapilers on 52 minutes to silence the home crowd.

Five minutes later, Gadafi Gadinho sealed the points for the Coachless side.

Despite a late surge to dig something out of the game, Express could not even find a consolation as Onduparaka held onto a second consecutive win over the Red Eagles at Wankulukuku.

Express has now gone five games minus defeating Onduparaka (D2 L3) in the league, and that is the same tally of fixtures the two side have faced off in the League.

After Saturday’s loss, Express now slip into 8th on the table with 13 points from 9 games.

For Onduparaka, they move up into 4th on 17 points, four behind leaders KCCA FC.

In Arua, Bright Stars made it five games minus a loss in the league with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Paidah Black Angels.

Paidah goalkeeper, John Kulumba put through his own net to hand the visitor a lead inside 13 minutes.

Despite relentless pressure from both sides, the tally could not be added on before halftime and Bright went into the break holding a slender 1-0 lead.

The best action of the game was saved for last with Bright Stars scoring two goals in the last two minutes of the game.

First Brian Kayanja scored his second goal in two games on 89 minutes before John Opejo completed the route with a third, a minute later.

The victory elevates Bright Stars into second on the log with 18 points, three behind leaders KCCA.

For Paidah, they are now bottom of the league with four points.

The last game of the day saw KCCA defeat Maroons 1-0 in Luzira.

League action continues next Tuesday with URA FC hosting Tooro United as Kirinya JSS travel to Ndejje University.
