FIFA International Friendly

Steven Keshi Stadium, Nigeria

Tuesday, 20-11-2018

A squad of 18 players has departed for Nigeria on Sunday as Uganda prepare to take on the Super Eagles in an international friendly on Tuesday.

There were some notable exclusion from the team that defeated Cape Verde 1-0 on Saturday as Captain-Denis Onyango, Farooq Miya and Murushid Jjuuko have all been excluded.

For Miya, he is currently nursing an injury sustained in the win over Cape Verde while Onyango and Jjuuko have been left out to give the other players chance to feature in Tuesday’s friendly.

Edrisa Lubega washas also been surprisingly omitted from the squad despite only coming off the bench on Saturday. Joseph Ochaya is the other play who did not travel with the team.

The team departed on Sunday morning after the flight was delayed by six hours ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly match.

Traveling squad to Nigeria:

Goalkeepers: Salim Jamal, Charles Lukwago

Out field players: Nico Wadada, Godfrey Walusimbi, Hassan Wasswa Mawanda, Khalid Aucho, Denis Iguma, Moses Waiswa, Patrick Kaddu, Isaac Muleme, Timothy Denis Awany, Isaac Isinde, Allan Kyambadde, Taddeo Lwanga, Ibrahim Sadam Juma, Milton Karisa, Allan Kateregga, Derrick Nsibambi.
