KCCA powers past SC Villa

NAMBOOLE – KCCA FC overcame Sc Villa 3-2 at the Mandela National Stadium in one of the four StarTiimes Uganda Premier League matches played on Tuesday.

The Jogoos had the opening chance of the game when winger Joseph Ssemuju out ran his marker Filbert Obenchan for a close range shot that was saved by keeper Charles Lukwago.

The hosts got into the lead on 13 minutes after Albert Mugisha shot from 25 yards beat the Kcca shot stopper.

The Kasasiros replied quickly through a counter attack led by skipper Timothy Awany who made a cross from the left to meet Julius Poloto for the winger to head in the ball three minutes later.

Moments later, Mugisha made a defense splitter in 18 yards for Semmujju who set up Bashir Mutanda at close range,but his effort was saved by Charles Lukwago.

15 minutes from half time, Manko Kaweesa failed to clear a cross from Julius Poloto directing the ball into his own net to put KCCA one up.

The hosts equalised in the dying moments of the first period through a Bashir Mutanda finish.

In the second half, substitute Jackson Nunda headed in the winner with his fast touch of the game after a short corner between Allan Okello and Julius Poloto.

The victory stretched Kcca FC’s unbeaten run to seven games whilst the Joggos continue to suffer at the bottom of the table and have now suffered 4 consecutive league defeats.

-Ndejje University fc 0-3 Bright Stars FC
-Bull FC 0-0 Uganda Revenue Authority FC
-Nyamityobora Fc 0-1 Kirinya Jinja.
