SUDAN – Salim Jamal Magola has parted ways with Sudanese Club El Merriekh Sports Club where he has been playing for four years.

The Ugandan goalkeeper has joined rival side Al Hilal sports club for three years and he is the first Ugandan player to ever play for this club.

Jamal approved the contract after representing the country in the FCON qualifying game against Lesotho both in Kampala and Maseru.

He has played for only two premier league clubs in Uganda including 12 time champions KCCA and Express Football club.

AlMerriekh spoted him when they played against KCCA and they signed the custodian until this year when he has decided to join their rivals side.

Jamal is the current immediate understudy goalkeeper to the Cranes captain Denis Onyango, who features for Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa.

Al Hilal is currently the 2nd in the Sudan premier league.
