Mbarara – Fresh from a two week training camp in Mbale, reigning Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have confirmed they will play two friendlies against top tier sides this week.
The games to be played include one against Mbarara City on Wednesday afternoon before a morning match with newly promoted side Nyamityobora on Thursday.
Although the venue of the Nyamityobora game is yet to be announced, the tie against Mbarara will be played at the Kakyeka Stadium.
These will be the first notable fixtures for Vipers’ coach Javier Martinez Espinosa after the Mexican was announced as the new head tactician at Kitende three weeks ago.
The games will also give the players a chance to prove their fitness to the Mexican with the start of the league just around the corner.
