-UCU Lady Canons vs Magic Stormers
-Ndejje University Angels vs JKL Dolphins
WANDEGEYA – The FUBA National Basketball League returns on Wednesday night with two games at the YMCA Courts in Wandegeya.
In the Men’s division, giant slayers Ndejje Angels will take on JKL Dolphins in the late tip-off.
Ndejje who have already defeated City Oilers, KIU Titans and BetWay Power, go into the game on the back of a 72-56 win over Charging Rhinos in their last game. The win was their second on the trot after overcoming UPDF Tomahawks 80-68 on 18th of July.
The University side will hope they can get the better of a Dolphins’ side that defeated them 68-46 in the first round.
Since that victory, JKL has played two games, winning one (vs UPDF) and losing the other (vs Sharing Youths).
Both sides have won seven games this season, Ndejje losing six while JKL has gone down on eight occasions.
In the Lady’s division, third placed UCU Lady Canons will take on Magic Stomers who seat seventh on the log.
UCU has won seven consecutive games since losing to A1 Challenge on June 8th and against Magic Stomers, they will be looking to get their eighth on the trot and tenth overall this season.
The Mukono based side has an upper hand in this tie, and they are the favourites to walk out with maximum points after they also won the first round tie 52-70 on June 27th at the same venue. They beat up on Magic Stormers twice in regular season last year.
Beside the usual stars at the team in Sarah Ageno, Zaina Angela Lokwameri, Vilma Achieng and Rosine Micomyiza, UCU will also rely on Rose Akon for the victory. Akon scored 17 points in the team’s last encounter against Javon Ladies, a game they won 44-57.
Magic Stomers last won a league game against KIU Rangers on July 7th and have lost all of their last two games.
