The Uganda U-20 national football team, the Hippos have resumed training as they prepare for the second leg tie away to Cameroon on Friday.
The Hippos are currently in a residential training setting at the African Bible Study Campus in Lubowa where they undertake double sessions in the morning and evening.
Head coach Matia Lule is optimistic that his boys can get the job done on Friday.
“We are intensifying our preparations because the job is far from over, said Lule.
“We got the result we desired at home, winning and not conceding and i am optimistic we can go to Yaounde and score an away goal.
“Hopefully we don’t concede and put ourselves in a dangerous situation.
The Hippos will have KCCA FC defender Mustapha Kizza returning after he completed his two match ban for the red card he received against South Sudan at the StarTimes stadium last month.
His experience of playing with KCCA in the CAF Champions league remains a key component for the Hippos.
Team captain Julius Poloto and Allan Okello are the other players with CAF Champions league experience on the current Hippos side.

The trio will join the rest of the players after KCCA’s CAF Champions’ league match with Al Alhy on Tuesday at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

The Uganda U-20 team is expected to depart the country on Wednesday.
Uganda won the first leg on Saturday 1-0 cartousy of a Steven Mukwala first half strike.

That was Mukwala’s fourth goal of the qualifying campaign and he still leads the chats Gabon’s Gabriel Ndong who has three.

Defenders: Paul Willa (Police), Fred Okot (URA), Robert Kitabalwa (St Mary’s Kitende S.S), Herbert Achai (Kibuli S.S and KCCA Junior Team), Mustafa Mujuzi (Proline), Geofrey Wasswa (Vipers), Bashir Asiku (Vipers)
Midfielders: Abubaker Kasule (Unattached), Ivan Eyam (Amus College and Ktaka FC), Frank Tumwesigye (Vipers), Faisal Ssekyanzi (St Mary’s Nabweru), Raymond Onyai (Kataka)
Strikers: Steven Mukwala (Vipers), Hamisi Tibita (BUL).
The Ones expected in Camp on Tuesday evening:
Allan Okello, Mustafa Kizza, Julius Poloto (Team Captain) all play for KCCA FC.
