With the 2018 basketball season around the corner, gambling power house BetWay has decided to renew its partnership with FUBA National Basketball team, BetWay Power.
This was announced on Thursday through a press statement in which the company (BetWay) also lauded the activities at Power.
“As BetWay, we are proud to announce our continued support and commitment to BetWay Power Basketball team, read the statement.
“Over the past year, the BetWay Power’s commitment and passion in the National Basketball league has been inspiring.
“In recognition to the clubs fantastic work, we as BetWay have decided to continue our association with the club by investing Shs 200 million for the 2018 season.
The investment by BetWay will help in medical insurances and facilitation in terms of Transportation and Media coverage.
It will also help in promotion of players’ fitness and health through BetWay’s partnership with ‘Fitness for Life Uganda’.
This is all done to ensure improved competitiveness by the team with the view of winning the league championship in 2018.
The partnership will also help in improving the image of the club and also improve on the recognition of the best performers throughout the season.
BetWay has already made several accusations to bolster their team that lost out in the semi finals last season.
Power where defeated 4-0 in the best of seven series, semis against the eventual champions City Oilers.
The players that have been acquired by Power so far:

•Brian Sivachi – Power Forward from Nkumba Marrines.
•David Opolot – Shooting Guard from Our Saviour.
•Geoffrey Soro – Power Forward from KIU Titans.
•Mike Madol – Small Forward from UCU Canons.
•Amin Mkhosa – Small Forward from Savio BC Tanzania.
•Philip Ameny – Centre from Pemba Warriors.
BetWay Power have gone six seasons minus testing league glory, last winning it in 2011 but with the team and resources that have currently, it would be fitting to say that they are close to winning it.
