Proline came from a goal down to advance to the round of 16 in the 2018 Uganda cup.

The Azam Uganda premier league side went behind in the game on 22 minutes when Joshua Lubwama converted a free-kick to put Luwero in the lead.

Luwero missed several chances in the first half in which Proline was miles away from their best as they (Proline) gave the ball away frequently and failed to create any meaningful goalscoring chances.

In the second half, Proline coach Mujibu Kasule brought on Nigerian striker Ewuchie Dichimma who became a menace to the Luwero defence with his strength and pace.

Proline finally levelled matter on 68 minutes when striker Allan Agaku ran through on goal and smashed into the top corner following a David Owori throat ball.

10 minutes from time, captain Joseph Mandela nodded in a cross from Nigerian winger Iyasele Odili to ensure that the Lugogo based side move into the last 16 of the Uganda cup.

“Luwero made it difficult for us in the first half but i am happy we finally won the game, said Proline coach Mujibu Kasule after the game.

“We created several opportunities and managed to score two goals which is a positive for us as we had not scored a single goal since the turn of the year.

“My prayer is that we take the momentum into the league and start collecting vital points in our efforts to fend off relegation.

Proline who have not won any of their last five top flight games will take on Express next when the league resumes.

Mujibu’s side seat only a point away from relegation with 13 games to play.
