Health Ministry staff dies in road accident

KAKOGE – Nantunzi Agnes, a data manager at Ministry of Health has died in a road accident Thursday, Feb 28 after a vehicle she was travelling in had a head-on collision with that of Lira District Local Government, confirmed Savana region police.

“It was head-on collusion with M/ V LG 0025066 belonging to Lira, carrying DEO Ofungi Franchise 44 driven by Kasule Moses, 38, both sustained serious injuries. All the victims and deceased are at St. Francisca H/C 4 Kakoge. Preliminary reports points to reckless driving by the driver of LG who crossed his lane and rammed into the UG accident happened St Wampiti Village Kakooge S/C,” police said in a statement.

Ms. Nantunzi was heading to Gulu in M/V UG 4590M belonging to Ministry of Health headquarters in Kampala. Her driver Robert Lubogo is reportedly nursing serious injuries.
