KAMULI – The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, who also doubles as the NRM second National Vice Chairperson has rallied Busoga sub-region to vote for President Yoweri Museveni because “he is the best candidate for the job.”

Speaking ahead of the NRM presidential flag bearer’s campaign meeting for Buyende and Kamuli districts at Kamuli Youth Centre grounds in Kamuli Municipality, Kadaga said the region has benefitted a lot from the 34 years of the NRM government, that she urged them to continue supporting.

“We want to urge our people to listen to his message and manifesto. I want to re-assure the public that the NRM has big plans for this country and are contained in the manifesto,” Kadaga said.

Describing Busoga as the Middle East, Kadaga said there are a lot of unfulfilled pledges to the region that she said can only be fulfilled when President Museveni is voted back to power.

“We have a number of unfinished activities and would like you the people to give us the confidence and authority to complete what has not yet been done. We ask you to support our presidential candidate,” she said.

“Other candidates have many ideas but we think President Museveni is still the best to take this country forward. Please vote for him and the NRM.”

President Museveni is set to address a meeting of NRM leaders and flag bearers and later youths from Buyende and Kamuli districts as he winds up his campaign trail in Busoga sub-region.

The NRM presidential candidate will on Monday begin his campaign trail in Ankole sub-region.
