KAMPALA – Busiro South 2021 MP hopeful Paul Owor has come out to say that his reason for wanting to represent the people of Busiro in the 11th parliament has been a work in progress for the last five years.

Owor explains that he is motivated by the fact that Busiro South has potential for growth but is being sabotaged by bad leaders.

“I have grown up in Busiro almost all my life but I have not seen anything like change, most of the youths are unemployed and have resolved to do dirty deeds. I am not into Politics because of any bandwagon and it is the reason I am not under any party” Owor says.

According to Owor, finances and income of youths in the Busiro South need to be developed through creation SACCOs to help them startup businesses.

He also hopes to give a hand to Busiro South’s health sector that according to him has not had a better share of government’s health budget.

“Ever since I started living in Busiro South, I have only enjoyed the climate but not the fruits of the representatives. The constituency needs someone that has it and its needs at heart,” he explains.

Ever since Owor declared his intentions to run for Busiro South MP seat, many people have been against his political bid in the constituency because he is not a Muganda but according to him, tribalism has nothing to do with someone’s political ambitions.

In a bid to cement his roots in the central region of the country where his constituency is situated, Owor earlier this month paid a courtesy visit to the Buganda Kingdom Premier, Charles Peter Mayiga at Bulange, Mengo.

While meeting the Premier, Owor donated an ambulance, ultra-scan for checking pregnant mothers, and Ugx 3million to the Kingdom.

“I made the contribution because I care for the vulnerable and whatever I have attained in my life is because of Buganda,” he said.

Owori who is a young entrepreneur graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Chain Management. He is the Founder of Shinrai Group Limited, Fun Time Safaris Tours and Travel, Fresh and Clean Limited and Kyeyo Online among other enterprises.

Owor is not new to the face of the public as he has been a force to reckon with in the Ugandan Entertainment Industry.

He is currently the CEO and founder of Gifted Music Group, a group that nurtured many Ugandan artistes including RnB sensation Alan Toniks.

The Busiro South MP seat is a tight one with journalist Steven Dunstan Busuulwa, Matovu Charles, Ssekigozi Stephen, Paul Owor and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) incumbent Peter Ssematimba.
