KAMPALA– Court has sent a one Akileo Kajubi alias Mulokole, to Luzira prison for allegedly defiling and infecting with HIV/AIDS his 17year old biological daughter.
Mulokole, 45years had appeared before the City Hall Court Grade One magistrate Ms Beatrice Kainza over his charge of aggravated defilement formerly read to him.
However Ms Kainza did not allow him to say anything since it is a capital offence that can only be heard in the High Court.
“You shall not take plea because this is a capital offence that can only be heard in the High Court. However you have a right to bail in the High Court,” The trial Magistrate Ms Kainza said before remanding the accused to August 17.
According to prosecution led by Ms Jackie Kyansimire, Mulokole between 2017 and January 2018 at Kikaya –Kawempe division in Kampala performed sexual act with his own daughter well knowing that he is even HIV positive.
It is said that Mulokole was staying with his daughter after he separated with the victim’s mother.
In the same court a 50 year old man was also charged and remanded to Luzira for allegedly taking beers and food worth Shs116500 from Kabira Country Club Bukoto brunch and refused to pay.
Joseph Rwamukyo business man and resident of Budimbo village in Kiboga district pleaded guilty to the offence and he was remanded until Tuesday August 7 for sentencing.
Rwamukyo has been charged with two counts of obtaining credit by false pretense and failing to pay a sum due for accommodation on public service vehicle.
Prosecution states that Rwamukyo on July 30, 2018 at Kabira country club drank beers and food amounting to Shs116500 and refused to pay.
Prosecution adds that on the same date Rwamukyo slept in Spot Inn Gest House found in Mulimira zone Kamwokya and also refused to pay over Shs128000
