According to police report, Nampijja allegedly disappeared from her home on Saturday morning when she started sending messages to all friends and relatives using her phone, claiming was in the hands of kidnappers and that they were demanding five million shillings.

However, her relatives immediately reported the case at Nansana Police Station vide SD REF: 73/25/08/2018.

Following police intelligence lead the suspect was later found at Mark Cottages where she had rented a room.

Upon police interrogation, Nampijja said the ransom money was intended to facilitate her planned outings with friends.
