Finance Trust Bank (FTB) has held sessions on financial education, tipping children key financial literacy practices.
This was part of the Ekisakatte Kya Nnabagereka held at Hormisdallen Primary School Gayaza.
This activity brought an opportunity for the children who attended the Ekisakatte Kya Nnabagereka to learn and discuss different topics of financial education.
In this session, the staff from Finance Trust Bank lectured and talked about basic topics and issues, such as personal budget management, savings, smart investments, and raising awareness about financial products.
The Abasaakaate (students and pupils) showed great interest in these topics and were curious to ask specific questions related to the proper management of personal finances, the functioning of the financial system, and the various banking products among others areas.
The Finance Trust Bank team encouraged the students to continue reading, getting informed, and discussing the acquired knowledge, to know how to make appropriate decisions about personal finances in the future.
Ms. Tatu Namiiro, Finance Trust Bank Central Regional Manager, said the financial literacy session emphasized the commitment of the bank to contribute to the citizens of Uganda being informed and aware of personal finance management.
Ms. Namiiro also emphasized that the bank strongly believes in the significance of Obuntu Bulamu as a pillar in shaping the society “we aspire to build, particularly in matters pertaining to finance”.
She also handed over gifts to some children.
The Ekisaakaate kya Nnabagereka 2024 ran under the theme: the theme: In Pursuit of Obuntubulamu.
