NAKASONGOLA – Police in Nakasongola have in custody a mother for allegedly torturing her two children Nagenda Fatuma, a 6-year-old female, and Nasuuna Hajara, a 4-year-old after they ate food (beans) without her knowledge.
This horrifying incident occurred on Monday, October 23, in Kyabutaika, Kakooge Town Council in Nakasongola District.
Police say that on the fateful day, a 27-year-old mother, Namuwonge Justine allegedly lit a charcoal stove and inflicted burns on her children’s hands.
“She accused them of stealing food (beans) and thereafter, intentionally kept them at home without seeking medical attention,” said Twinamazima Sam, police spokesperson, Savannah region.
