MBARARA – As part of their commitment to stakeholder engagements and awareness, this year, the Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) participated in the Education Expo at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara City from 7th to 10th September 2023.
“We are pleased to associate internally with our training institutions to showcase what is offered and done by students at various Technical Institutions in Western Uganda,” Kambaho Narasi, Principal Communications and Public Relations Officer stated.
He added that during the education expo, the technical institutions displayed innovations and other value-added products such as wine processing, security systems, improved banana plants, automatic alarm systems and automatic egg incubators among others.
The institutions participating in the expo included; Nyamitanga Technical Institute, UTC-Bushenyi, Rwentanga Farm Institute, Kakiika Technical School, Rwampara Farm Institute. Among Universities accredited by UBTEB included Kabale University, Mountains of the Moon University, Bishop Stuart University and Bishop Barham University, Kabale.
“This expo has helped the community and education institutions to get information and learn from each other,” Kambaho added.
In subsequent education expos, the parents and children should attend to get information on study programmes, entry requirements and tuition fees.
UBTEB paid for space for 3 Technical Institutions to showcase projects done by students.
