About Maisha Holistic Africa Foundation
Founded in 2013 by Milly Nassolo Kikomeko, the Maisha Holistic Africa Foundation is a humanitarian organization that places a special focus on the well-being of children, youth, and women in Kagadi District, Uganda. Its primary mission is to empower those who have been disadvantaged by situations beyond their control and to provide opportunities that may have otherwise been inaccessible.
One of the foundation’s notable achievements has been its support for over 350 girls in pursuing education at all levels. Many of these girls had either dropped out of school or were denied access due to challenging circumstances. Through scholarships and educational support, Maisha Holistic Africa Foundation has given them the opportunity to continue their education and aspire for a better future.
The foundation operates from its offices in Kagadi District, specifically in Kyenzige subcounty, and extends its services across the country as resources permit. Their outreach encompasses orphaned and vulnerable children, teenagers, women, the elderly, and men with disabilities who are living with HIV/AIDS.
To cater to the unique needs of these diverse groups, the organization designs tailored programs. For example, they offer full sponsorships and bursaries to orphaned and vulnerable children, assist teenage school dropouts in returning to their education, empower young girls to remain in school through scholarships and reproductive health education, and provide essential equipment for managing menstruation. Additionally, the foundation offers career guidance and counseling to help individuals find their paths to a better future.
Milly Nassolo Kikomeko’s work with Maisha Holistic Africa Foundation is a testament to her dedication to making a meaningful impact on the lives of those who need it most. The health camp is just one example of her commitment to improving access to education and healthcare for marginalized communities. Her vision and tireless efforts continue to transform lives in Kagadi District and beyond.
