NWSC announces emergency shutdown at Ggaba water works

KAMPALA – The Management of National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC)- Kampala Water regrets to inform it’s esteemed customers and the general public that there will be interruptions in water supply along the Ggaba 1- Namsuba transmission main from 7am Tuesday, January 19, 2021 to 7am Thursday, January 21, 2021.

“This is to enable our engineers handle an emergency fault along the Ggaba 1-Naguru bulk water transmission main,” said NWSC in the statement.

The 48 hour-emmergence works will affect the following areas; Namasuba service area; Namasuba, Zaana, Ndejje, Lubugumu, Seguku, Bunamwaya, Kitebi, Nalumunye, Nyanama, Mutundwe, Nateete, Kyengera, Nsangi, Maya, Mityana road- Bulenga, Wakiso, Buloba, Bulaga, Masanafu, Namungoona, Busega- Kitunzi parts of Nansana, Kabulengwa, Naluvule,Wamala, Ochieng zone, Senge and the surrounding areas.

Naguru service area;
Ntinda, Naalya, Bukoto Kisaasi, kyanja, kiwatule, Najeera, Naguru, kulambiro, komamboga, Kungu, Buwate and the surrounding areas

The management says that the team shall sleep in the trenches working around the clock to complete the works on time and restore supply to the affected areas in the shortest time possible.
