KAMPALA – FDC’s Presidential candidate 2021 Patrick Oboi Amuriat has received a donation of a brand new pickup from a yet to be known tycoon.
This was reveled by former FDC President Kizza Besigye’s personal aide, Ronald Muhinda.
“A wealthy man in Kampala watched POA on TV debating and he got impressed,” Muhinda posted on his Facebook page.
After the show, Muhinda says the tycoon excitedly telephoned Amuriat through emissaries and instructed him to go to Cooper Motors and get a pickup for the party.
“That is my contribution to the struggle,” he said.
“All necessary documentation was done and FDC now owns a brand new Mazda Pick Up because of the intellectual capabilites of the Villager from Teso,” said Muhinda.
Amuriat was on Tuesday embarrassed by the Police when he was delivered at Kyambogo nomination venue in a Police vehicle after he was picked from the party headquarters in Najjanakumbi.
At Kyambogo, he emerged from the Police vehicle without shoes and walked with only socks.
“I’m extremely angry that this could be done to me in my own country. I don’t understand whether there is democracy in our country when a regime chooses to do this to a potential candidate.
Amuriat and other ten candidates including NRM’s Yoweri Museveni, NUP’s Robert Kyagulanyi, ANT’s Mugisha Muntu, DP’s Norbert Mao and others were nominated to run for Presidency.
