KAMPALA – Nansana-based Worship House lead Pastor Wilson Bugembe has mourned his fellow man of God Pastor Augustine Yiga who passed away earlier in the night.

Bugembe through his social media platforms has penned down an emotional message to fallen fellow Pastor Yiga Augustine who breathed his last.

He shared that he had requested his son to arrange a meeting where Bugembe would pray with Yiga privately but this did not happen.

“I asked his son if he could allow me to visit him and pray with him privately without cameras. He agreed but a few minutes later – he called back and said ‘Musumba Mzee has passed!’ Sorry for the loss of your dad! I hope and pray his last minutes he got a chance – him and God to talk. God is merciful when we repent. No one is perfect. God is merciful,” he posted.

Bugembe added that; “Rest in Peace Pastor Yiga. Death is never a good thing to anyone. Yesterday I spoke to his son on the phone at about midnight. I told his son, ‘I may disagree or debate with some of your dads teachings but wish him Life. Even if we speak in tongues of angels but without Love we are like an empty Tin!,” he posted.

Quoting Romans 8:1(Friends, Jesus is knocking at your door. If you open your heart, He will come in and save your soul!) Bugembe said his prayers are with Yiga’s church and his family.

Pastor Yiga who had been hospitalized at Nsambya Hospital in Kampala for a good period of time was pronounced dead in the wee hours of Tuesday October 27.

The news of his death was confirmed by his Kawala based ABS TV Management through their official Facebook account.

“We cannot believe that you are no longer with us. This is a tragedy for us, we will pray for you dear. Friend, mentor, great pastor, rest in peace Pastor Yiga Abizaayo Augustine”.
