Egypt’s new ambassador to Uganda Swelam presents credentials to minister Kutesa

KAMPALA – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sam Kutesa has on Friday morning received copies of credentials of the Ambassador-designate of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Uganda, H.E. Ashraf Mohamed Nabhan Swelam at the MoFA Headquarters.

The Minister congratulated the Ambassador-Designate upon his appointment and hailed the excellent bilateral relations between Uganda and Egypt.

He further noted that this appointment would strengthen bilateral cooperation, promote trade and investment between the two countries.

In presenting copies of his credentials, Amb. Swelam conveyed a message of gratitude for the warm reception accorded to him.

He expressed his desire to work closely with the Ministry to foster Economic Diplomacy ties between the two countries.

Kutesa promised that the Ministry will give the Ambassador-designate all the necessary assistance he needs to accomplish his assignments during his tour of duty in Uganda.
