KAMPALA — Amb. Patrick Mugoya the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has hosted a farewell luncheon in honour of H.E Amb. (Dr) Etubom Nya Eyoma Asuquo the outgoing High Commissioner Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Uganda who successfully completed his tour of duty.
The Permanent Secretary paid an exceptional tribute to the outgoing High Commissioner for the achievements registered during his tour of duty noting that this has contributed to the strengthening of bilateral relations between Uganda and Nigeria.
Amb. Mugoya wished Amb. Asuquo success in his new deployment and noted that he would always be a friend of Uganda.
Amb. Asuquo conveyed his sincere appreciation to Amb. Mugoya and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the cooperation given to him during his tour of duty.
The High Commissioner highlighted that his time in Uganda was memorable and would continue promoting the cordial relations between both countries.
The luncheon was attended by H.E. Mohammed Sulieman Ahmed, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Amb. Charles Ssentongo, Chief of Protocol, Amb. Arthur Kafeero Director Regional International Political Affairs and Senior officials of the Ministry and the Nigerian High Commission.
