HAPPENING NOW: Ziriddamu takes early lead in Kyotera NRM primaries

Kyotera District incumbent chairman Patrick Kintu Kisekulo and his top challenger Mr. Charles Lubega Ziriddamu are facing off for the second time (PHOTO/Courtesy).

KYOTERA — Mr. Charles Lubega Ziriddamu is currently leading the incumbent chairman Mr Patrick Kintu Kisekulo in Kyotera District NRM Flagbearer race as counting gets underway.

Results from 11 sub counties so far put Mr. Ziriddamu at 26,368 votes while Mr. Kisekulo at 1,2439.

The sub counties and town councils are 13 in the newly created district of Kyotera and those counted include Kalisizo, Nabigasa, Kasasa, Kabira and Kasaali.

Others include Kakuuto, Nangoma and Lwankoni.

Kyotera district became operational on July 1, 2017 after it was carved out of mother district, Rakai.
