UPC’s newly appointed party spokesperson urges members to put aside all individual interests

KAMPALA – Hon. Sharon Oyat Arach, the newly appointed Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) Spokesperson has urged party members to put aside all individual interests and concentrate on unifying the party.

Arach was on Wednesday, August 5, addressing the press at the party headquarters, Uganda House in Kampala.

“Now that we are in a new term, the party calls upon all members to put aside individual interests and concentrate on unifying, recruiting, mobilizing and rebuilding our mighty party,” urged Arach.

Arach was appointed as party spokesperson on Saturday, August 2, 2020 by the UPC party president Hon. Jimmy Akena during the Delegates Conference at Kasangati Resort Center Hotel in Kasangati, Kampala.

He replaced Michael Orach Osinde who is now the Workers Leader.

The rest of the newly appointed cabinet members are; Hon. Mutenderwa Fahad Kinyiri – Vice president, Hon. Fred Ebil – Secretary General, Hon. Bakkabulindi Ben Kigongo – Assistant Secretary General, Hon. Maxwell Akira – National Treasurer, Hon. Lawrence Okae Engirot – National Chairperson, Hon. Muhwezi Miria – National Woman Leader and Hon. Neluba Racheal – Assistant Woman Leader.

According to a released UPC press statement, the new cabinet ministers are congratulated upon their appointment and the outgoing or redeployed ministersaare thanked for the great service rendered during their term of office.

“We congratulate the new cabinet ministers upon their appointment and thank the president for entrusting them with those positions. We also thank the outgoing or redeployed ministers for the great service they rendered to the party during their term of office at various ministerial positions,” stated the press release.

With the newly appointed cabinet and new resolutions of putting aside all individual interests to concentrate on unifying, recruiting, mobilizing and rebuilding our mighty party, there is no doubt that UPC will rise and shine again.
