KAMPALA – Ms Nabilah Naggayi Ssempala has vowed she will not be bogged down by the political bullying within the opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) as she sets eyes on position of Lord Mayor.

In a post on Thursday morning, the Kampala Woman MP,  who is seeking to unseat Erias Lukwago, a member of the opposition Democratic Party but a key FDC ally wrote:
“Political media bullying is just an extension of the viciousness that we experience in our political environment. I am well adorned with armor to withstand it,” she added: “But I shudder to think about the future of politics that has well structured political mercenaries. Unfortunately the innocent and most often unsuspecting public falls into their well oiled propaganda machine”.

The FDC on Wednesday bounced Ms Nabilah and said she did not pick any nomination forms from their offices and described her as an impostor.

FDC stalwarts see Ms Nabilah as a lukewarm member of the country’s strongest opposition party and have been working to throw her out.
The FDC Electoral Commission rejected nomination papers for Ms Nabilah who is seeking to run for Kampala Lord Mayorship in the 2021 general election, saying she failed to beat the deadline of submitting in her nomination form that ended on Tuesday.

The initial deadline for all interested FDC party aspirants to return nomination forms was on July 7 but the party extended it for seven more days until July 14.

MP Nabilah’s Full statement
===============
Political Media Bullying is just an extension of the viciousness that we experience in our political environment. I am well adorned with armor to withstand it. But I shudder to think about the future of politics that has well structured political mercenaries.

Unfortunately the innocent and most often unsuspecting public falls into their well oiled propaganda machine. Through such a culture, we chip away at democracy and the rights that we purport to champion.

This prevents more suitable young women and men to join elective positions and this slowsdown the prospects of political change in the country.
The hitherto celebrated shadowy figure in the name of Tom Voltaire Okwalinga is one such Bull Dog of the official opposition’s Napoleon.

I know who he represents but they are cowards to come out in the open. His “fangs” just like a Hyena(because he can’t be a Lion) have always been used to tear apart those deemed a threat to the coveted position of the opposition “Mafia”!
This is a response that I am according to them and their “life-long” propaganda. It is only the emergence of people power that put cracks into their game! Tom Voltaire Okwalinga tell yourself bosses that I am unstoppable!

I will not be fazed! The propaganda has never stopped me and neither will it stand in the way of the Journey to City Hall.
