KAMPALA – The Court of Appeal/Constitutional Court has on Thursday started hearings for 20 Constitutional Petitions and eight applications.

Justices; Kenneth Kakuru, Hellen Obura, Stephen Musota, Christopher Madrama and Remmy Kasule are presiding over the session.

Before the hearings started, Justice Kakuru emphasized that the Court would adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures given by the Ministry of Health.

He informed the advocates that presentations in court will be minimized since written submissions were already filed.

“Four petitions were handled today [Thursday] where two petitions were withdrawn and two have been fixed for judgment on notice,” said judiciary in a statement, adding that, “the Constitutional Petitions session will last two weeks.”
