MOROTO – Two Karamojong cattle rustlers have been killed in a clash with the UPDF soldiers in Nadunget sub county, six kilometers away from Moroto Municipality.

Major Peter Mugisa, the UPDF 3rd division Spokesperson said the raiders suspected to be from Kotido were killed at around 1am on Thursday as they were driving away the animals they had stolen from Nadunget.

“They landed in our ambush so two were put out of action and all the 50 cows that they had stolen were recovered,” he said.

Mugisa said the that army also recovered several bows and arrows that the rustlers had.

He vowed that army will continue killing the cattle rustlers as long as they continue raiding until they stop.

The current situation in the region is a big threat to the residents although army says it’s not yet out of hands.
