KAMPALA- Kira municipality MP, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda has asked the speaker Rebecca Kadaga for permission to move a formal motion asking the Executive to apologize for the President’s remarks on the 20 million.

Addressing the country on Tuesday April 27, President Museveni said this was “bad planning”, and that the move has legal and moral issues.

On the moral side, he said it is unacceptable for MPs “to give themselves money for personal use when the country is in crisis. It is totally unacceptable to me and to the NRM”, a party he leads and national Chairman.

He explained that he discussed the matter with Kadaga and encouraged legislators to take that money and donate it to the district taskforce.

Now Ssemujju has said the attack on the August house by the president is unacceptable.

“If we allow the Head of State to start ordering me around like a shamber boy, tomorrow he will order me to donate my salary to a priest in my constituency. I will move formally that the Executive apologies to the House for what happened last week,” he said in a plenary sitting on May 5.
