Early this week, the disease was brought to the attention of the district health officials after three people in Loputuk presented signs.

Dr. Charles Omundu, the District Health Officer confirmed the death of two people but said it’s hard to know whether its cholera although they presented symptoms similar to the disease.

He said the actual disease will be known after the results are brought out from the samples that they have taken for laboratory test in Entebbe.
