President Museveni will address the nation yet again (PHOTO/File).

KAMPALA — President Yoweri Museveni will address the nation yet again on Friday April 3, at 8:00pm, State House has announced.

“President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will tomorrow Friday 3rd April, update the Nation on COVID19UG situation at 8pm,” Ms. Lindah Nabusayi, his press secretary said via Twitter.
The address will be carried live on television and radio.

The president is expected to talk about the relief measures lined up by government for the lockdown.

Mr. Museveni on Monday night announced a ban on all movements for 14 days as Uganda enhanced stricter guidelines to stem the Coronavirus spread.

He also declared a shutdown of government services, except for the army, police, health services and essential services.

President Museveni also announced a government ban on gatherings of more than five people.

Also, except for cargo transporters (trains, lorries, pickups, etc), he also announced a curfew across the whole of Uganda that in now it day three.

The exemption of cargo transporters does not apply to boda bodas.

Museveni also said his administration will distribute food and other relief items to vulnerable Ugandans after declaring a 14-day lockdown.
