MUKONO – Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has on Saturday, February 22, 2020, graced the annual run at Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono, under the theme “Be your brother’s keeper”

President Yoweri Museveni is expected to preside over the fundraising ceremony.

The initiative, the first of its kind, introduced by the 2019/2020 Guild Government to fundraise tuition fees for the needy children and also install security lights around the Mukono based campus.

The run flagged off by the Speaker has brought together different stakeholders from Parliament, Human Rights and students from the campus form both the Kampala and Mukono campus campuses.

Others were students from scripture union and the neighboring community who covered 5KM.

The initiative is meant to fundraise money for students who have issues clearing tuition within at the institution

As a requirement for a student to do their examination, one has to have cleared 100% of their tuition
