KAMPALA – Grade One Magistrate, Buganda Road Court Stellah Amabilisi has dismissed charges of inciting violence and offensive communication that had been slapped against People Power Supporter, also Events Promoter Andrew Mukasa alias Bajjo.

In her ruling today, Amabilisi declared Bajjo a free man arguing that it would not be proper to keep on adjourning the case brought before her in June 2019 yet the Director of Public Prosecution is not even sure when he will present his first witness in court.

The Magistrate dismissed the case against Bajjo saying she cannot order the accused to keep showing up in court without any progress, and directed court to refund the Shs4M cash bail Bajjo that he had deposited in court.

Prosecution accused Bajjo of inciting members of the public to carry out violent acts against the person of the President with an intention of disturbing the peace and privacy of the President when he recorded a video and posted it on social media containing messages that he would overthrow the government before 2021.

It is alleged that the offence was committed in June 2019 at various places of Kampala, Masaka, Mbarara and Ibanda using his mobile phone contrary to the computer miss use Act.
