KYEGEGWA – The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has built new piped water system in Kyaka ll refugee settlement in Kyegegwa district.
Funded by the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), is the second piped water system IOM Uganda is building a second Kyaka II refugee settlement.
The multi-piped water system will use a reservoir earlier constructed by Samaritan’s Purse, and will deliver safe water to about 22,000 Congolese refugees and Ugandans.
In October, IOM handed over the Sweswe piped water system, which was funded with European Union Humanitarian Aid, with co-funding from CERF.
