KAMWOKYA — A combined force of UPDF and Police officers have sealed off offices of the opposition People Power in Kamwokya as the group leader Robert Kyagulanyi addressed a press conference.

This, as Bobi Wine addressed a Press Conference about his blocked consultation meetings in Kyadondo East and Gulu.

Officers have been deployed a few minutes after stopping his meeting in Gulu where his coordinators were consulting voters on the youthful MP’s presidential bid.

Most of the officers at the scene are from Field Force Command of the Uganda Police Force.

It is understood that Bobi Wine and a number of other MPs including Medard Sseggona and Latif Ssebagala were still in raided offices.

Bobi Wine had earlier condemned police brutality.

He also asked President Museveni and the Police to respect the law.

“Our challenge is we are dealing with a government that doesn’t respect the law. We are telling President Museveni and his police to respect the law and the ground should be levelled. We are taking you on in 2021 and we are winning,” he said.

Bobi Wine also said the Gulu meeting was canceled to to make sure “our arrested colleagues are out.”

“We are not going for the Gulu consultation meeting today. This is because we have to make sure our arrested colleagues are out. Our Lira consultation meeting is on because we have met all the guidelines,” he said.
