NEW FACES: Age limit mover Magyezi, Nabakooba, Anywar, Nabbanja eat big in Cabinet reshuffle

KAMPALA – MPs Raphael Magyezi (Igara West), Judith Nabakooba (Mityana Woman), Dennis Hamson Obua (Ajuri), Beatrice Anywar (Kitgum Woman), Robinah Nabbanja (Kibale Woman) and Jackson Kafuuzi (Kyaaka South) are some of the new faces in the Cabinet that was announced by President Yoweri Museveni on Saturday evening.

Also on the list is the President’s Principal Private Secretary Molly Kamukama and Peter Ogwang.

According to the list, Magyezi, who moved the age limit Bill, is the new Minister of Local Government, replacing Tom Butime to the Tourism docket.

Ms Nabakooba, who until 2015 was a police spokesperson, is the new information minister, replacing Frank Tumwebaze who is the new Gender minister. Tumwebaze replaces Janat Mukwaya who is now a presidential adviser.

Obua is a new State Minister for Sports, replacing Charles Bakabbulindi who has been dropped from Cabinet.

Nabbanja is the new State Minister for Health (General Duties), replacing Sarah Opendi who goes to the Minerals docket.

Mr. Jackson Kafuuzi is the new Deputy Attorney General, replacing Mwesigwa Rukutana who is the new State Minister for Labour.

Anywar is the new Environment state minister while Peter Ogwang takes over the ICT docket as a state minister.

Molly Kamukama is the new State Minister for Economic Monitoring.
