KAMPALA – Popular singer David Ekene a renowned worshiper from Nigeria who doubles as a pastor is to jet in the country to lead praise and worship at House of Prayer Ministries (HRM) at Canaan land in Kikoni, Makerere.

The Church is under the stewardship of Pastor Aloysius Bugingo.

Ekene whose hit song “greater tomorrow” has become a staple in Africa and beyond is one of Nigeria’s finest export in the gospel music industry.

Pastor Aloysius during one of the interviews on his Salt Media, revealed that   Ekene expressed interest to lead worship and praise on Sunday, December 29, to climax the year in style with God’s people in Uganda.

He added that they are excited and welcome him to Uganda and in particular at Canaan, and are looking forward to enjoying his other great songs that most people do not know.

“Usually people pay money to see him sing but he is coming to spend some time with us without any payment” he noted.

Some of the soul-soothing songs include; ”Smile Again”, “Rabonni – Worship U”, “Hallelujah” among others.

Recently, the popular singer was in Uganda on December 6, at a charity concert at Cricket Oval, Lugogo to fundraise for the construction of a home for kids with Down syndrome organized by Irene Nabossa.

Down syndrome is often a congenital, usually associated with physical growth delays, mild to moderate intellectual disability, and characteristic facial features.
