KAMPALA – Mr Moses Binoga has been dropped from Anti Human Trafficking Unit in a series of transfers made by the police force aimed at beefing up the fight against crime.
Most of those transferred are senior police officers in Kampala Metropolitan Area that has been hit by violent crime over the last few months.
In the new changes announced on October 31 by the director of police administration, Mr Jesse Kamunanwire, Mr Binoga, who has been serving as head of Anti Human Trafficking Unit for many years, now moves to the intelligence directorate.
Also moved is Mr Johnson Kiconco from Sipi Region to Kampala Metropolitan Police North as the Deputy Region Police Commander.
Mr David Wamunyerere has been moved from Kakira to Savannah Region as deputy Region Police Commander. Mr Jamal Kanyesigye, who has been a commander in Kabarole District, will now go to Kakira.
Mr Apollo Kyangungu, who has been in Kotido District, has been moved to Kajjansi Division as the Division Police Commander.
Katwe Police Division Commander Frantile Lwamusayi has transferred to Bunyangabo as the District Police Commander (DPC). He has been replaced by SP David Epedu from Mitooma District.
Wandegeya Police Division Commander Godwin Ochaki has been transferred to Jinja Central as DPC. He has been replaced by Mr Samuel Odong, who has been Masindi DPC.
Mr Rodgers Seguya has been transferred from Mukono District, where he has been the DPC, to Wakiso District in the same position.
SP Joab Wabwire has replaced SP Seguya. He has been Mpigi DPC.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kasangati Division, Mr Patrick Mulinde, has been transferred to Kireka Police Station as OC Station.
Mr Henry Nuwamanya has been removed from Buloba, where he has been the OC Station, and taken to Wakiso as OC Station.
Mr Daniel Makibwe has been transferred from Kampala Metropolitan Police North to Jinja Road as OC Station for Kitintale.
Rogers Halera has been shuffled from Kitoro in Entebbe Division to Buwambo as OC Station.
Ivan Mulera has been elevated from Kazinga Police Post to Nsangi Police Division as OC Operations.
Pamela Kauma has been deployed to Nakawa Police Post as OC Post. She has been operating in Mukono District.
Police transferred ASP Morris Awio to Bunga Police Post under Kabalagala Police Division.
