MOROTO – The State House Anti-Corruption Unit has started grilling the district officials of Moroto over alleged of corruption.

Under the Command of Lt. Colonel Edith Nakalema, the unit is currently grilling staffs at Moroto regional referral hospital and the district officials over alleged mismanagement of public funds.

Some of notable issues residents want the unit to investigate include circumstances under which the district received money over UGX200million for three boreholes drilling for two for Nadunget sub-county and one in Rupa Sub County but they didn’t do it.

Other issues are surrounding the poor health services at the regional referral hospital and tribalism issues in the hospital.

Lt. Col Nakalema pointed out that the hospital spent UGX20million to facilitate the friendly football match between Moroto staffs and Soroti yet the hospital was in total darkness.

“Am here to sort out the pain that our ordinary Ugandans have raised related to the corruption in the hospital,” she said.

The grilling is currently underway at Moroto district chamber hole and it’s fully parked and arrest is expected to take place.
