KABALE – A Uganda Certificate of Education invigilator at St. Barnabas Secondary School, Karujanga in Kamugagunzi Sub County in Kabale District was on Tuesday evening October 29, found dead in her rented room.
The deceased, identified as Sarah Ayebazibwe, was a Physics and Maths teacher at Janan Luwum Memorial Secondary School l in Kamugagunzi and a resident of Muyebe Parish in Buhara Sub County in Kabale District.
Ms Ayebazibwe has also been a second-year student at Bishop Barham University College in Kabale District.
According to the Rev. Benon Byaruhanga a teacher of Jonan Luwum Memorial Secondary School, the deceased who has been renting in Kyonyo Trading Centre Kyonyo parish, in Katuna Town Council worked on Monday and she did not complain of any illness.
Rev. Byaruhanga says that when she did not attend on Tuesday her fellow teachers got concerned and together with her neighbours decided to break her door after they realised she had not been seen in anywhere in the hood since Monday. The team was shocked to find their colleague lifeless in her bed.
The Kigezi Region Police spokesperson Elly Maate said her body was taken to Kabale Region Referral Hospital for post-mortem and the matter registered at Katuna Police Station vide SD 18/29/10/19.
